San Francisco video production company, Bayside Entertainment, is up for a People’s Telly Award.
Their media initiative, Journeys for Good, celebrates volunteer travel with original blog and video content. This video from their recent trip to Cambodia is nominated in the online video series category.
Husband and wife team, Steve and Joanie Wynn, discovered their passion for voluntourism on a trip to Tanzania in 2009. Since then, they have developed Journeys for Good as a passion project, further traveling to Nicaragua and Cambodia.
Most recently, they incorporated their 9 year old son on a trip to Cambodia with non-profit Globe Aware. They built wheelchairs and participated in a number of local volunteer projects. A web series on the trip is currently available for viewing on their site.
In addition to the web content, they are developing a series on voluntourism for public television.
